ECODESIGN
Ecodesign present throughout the entire value chain.
QUALITY
Quality to extend the lifetime of the products it manufactures.
RECOVERABLE MATERIALS
The principle of using recoverable materials which can be used again in the production chain or be returned to nature.
Behind the management model is the firm commitment to research, innovation and sustainability.
Currently, our aim is in the following sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations in the 2030 agenda:
01.
TRANSPORT CONTAINER A 100% CIRCULAR PRODUCT
One of the products it designs, manufactures and homologates is the transport container. Its main raw material, steel, is 100% recyclable, like wood, and it is reducing or substituting components of paint and other raw materials.
02.
OPTIMAL ASSET UTILIZATION, REDUCING THE CURRENT FLEET OF CONTAINERS
Equimodal’s containerized solutions and containers for intermodal transport can have a dual use, making it possible to carry one load in the outbound journey and to carry another load in the return journey, thus eliminating the empty return journey. This maximizes the efficiency of customers’ transport of toxic waste.
03.
EFFICIENT MANUFACTURING PROCESS WITH BETTER UTILIZATION OF RESOURCES
For three years, Equimodal has been working to reduce the use of solvents in the painting process of containers and swap bodies. By automating processes, they have managed to reduce paint consumption, recycle part of the waste and reduce the use of solvent, reducing the generation of toxic waste.
All the Equimodal teams are involved in the commitment to the circular economy and are working on a better use of resources, reviewing their manufacturing process, and with ecodesign as an exclusive service for all projects and clients.
04.
REDUCTION OF CARBON FOOTPRINT
Equimodal has developed a portfolio of nearby suppliers, with the aim of having its supplier network at a distance of less than 300km.
05.
EFFICIENT MANUFACTURING PROCESS WITH BETTER UTILIZATION OF RESOURCES
Also, Equimodal is committed to working in strategic sectors and in sectors with low environmental impact such as rail transport, energies and emergencies. Its specialization in ETO (Engineering to Order) and being aligned with engineering departments of customers and suppliers makes it easier for them to offer solutions allowing the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and reduced use of natural resources.
